Honoring a Life of Courage, Service, and Sacrifice
About the Foundation
The 718 Foundation is a nonprofit organization and recognized 501(c)(3) public charity established to honor the memory and legacy of our son, Braxton.
Through scholarships and financial support, the Foundation is dedicated to assisting individuals who are pursuing education and professional training in Fire Science. By investing in future firefighters, we seek to carry forward Braxton’s passion for service, courage, and commitment to helping others.
His Story
Braxton found more than a calling in the fire service, he found a family.
As a volunteer firefighter, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to serving others and to becoming the best firefighter he could be. He traveled to attend training opportunities, built lasting friendships with firefighters from around the state, and discovered a place where he felt truly accepted and at home.
Braxton was known for his contagious humor, unwavering loyalty, and remarkable calm under pressure. Whether responding to an emergency or helping a friend in need, he was always ready to serve with courage, compassion, and a steady presence.
Though his time with us was far too short, Braxton’s impact was immeasurable. The 718 Foundation was created to honor his memory by supporting future firefighters who share his passion for learning, service, and helping others.

Carrying Forward
Braxton found his place in the fire service. It gave him purpose, lifelong friendships, and a sense of belonging. He poured his heart into training, learning, and helping others, always bringing his calm spirit and contagious sense of humor along the way.
The 718 Foundation was created to carry that passion forward and help future firefighters find the same purpose and opportunity that meant so much to him.
